On Saturday 6th October Regent’s International School Bangkok took part in a swimming competition for children aged 7 to 12 at Harrow International School. For some students this was their first competitive swimming event.
There were some great successes with many Regent’s swimmers winning their heats and gaining a blue ribbon. Four of our swimmers reached the finals: Fran (Y 6), Sand (Y 6), Aaliyah (Y 7) and Sebastian (Y 8). Sand and Aaliyah both made the 25m Breaststroke final. Aaliyah swam a personal best time to finish 6th overall and Sand swam fantastically to gain a silver medal. The two outstanding swimmers for Regent’s were Fran and Sebastian as they made the finals for all 4 strokes. Fran swam really well in all of her races and improved some of her times from the heats. Sebastian did exceptionally well in the Butterfly event and received the bronze medal.
